Silent Hunter 4 Patch 15

So I just bought this game and was wondering why I couldn't advance missions. Learned that it was due to a bug in ver 1.3. I searched and downloaded the patch from ubi and it told me the game wasn't installed.

Patch 1.4 [Patch] Posted over 11 years ago; 78 downloads; Ubisoft have released a new patch for Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific which brings the game to version 1.4.

Read the forums here and learned of the steam patcher. Ran it, Downloaded it, clicked Yes to run, nothing. Then I read about the U boat exp pack that updates it automatically for about 5 bucks someone said. No longer exists.
